Grace new york jerk festival is a few days away and the official announcement of this year celebrity cook off  competitors have been announced . Slated for sunday july 31st 2022 at roy wilkins park in queens new york . This year celebrity cook off competition will be angela yee from the breakfast club against mona scott-young creator of vh1 love and hip hop .both will be going head to head in a 30 minute cooking challenge featuring Caribbean spices at 4pm on the culinary stage for the grand prize of the Dutch pot trophy .

CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR MERCILESS

The family of the late  dancehall veteran entertainer merciless. has announced a candle light vigil in memory of the entertainer at his home in turners,four paths ,Clarendon jamaica for wenesday july 27th 2022. Merciless whose real name is Leonard Bartley was found dead at a hotel in kingston jamaica last week . He has been a veteran icon of dancehall music from  the early 1990's until his recent passing cause of death is unknown .let us keep the family in prayers at this time .rest in peace to dancehall warhead from Clarendon merciless .

Greetings once again . Today I bring sad news . Dancehall veteran entertainer merciless has passed away .he was found dead in a hotel room in kingston jamaica between Monday night july 18th 2022 . According to news reports , the veteran entertainer checked into a kingston hotel Monday stated he was not feeling good ,asked for a cup of tea went to sleep and never woke up . His driver and other friends of his became worrieds after the entertainer did not return calls made to his phone . upon the hotel staff being alerted he was found dead in his hotel room .police found no foul play and states the entertainer died from natural causes . The family of the dj is yet to make a statement.  

Merciless became famous in dancehall for his lyrical musical talent .he started his career in 1994 with the release of song len out mi mercy ,he went onto release his first album .he Lyrically clashed onstage with various entertainers such ninjaman, bounty killer and beenie which he won at the famous sting at jamworld portmore ,which granted him being nickname warhead after out beating ninjaman bounty and beenieman on stage . Merciles has left behind a legacy of musical talent that will live on .merciless was a veteran entertainer that paved the way for dancehall music he will be greatly missed . Condolence to his family and friends .

Saturday July 16th 2022 was the first staging of TRIO FEST - wine jerk curry festival in Frederick maryland .I must say it was an epic first stage show food festival and family fun day . Special guest entertainers that performed onstage such as  the queen of reggae marcia Griffiths, lady g and kenyatta hill .I was very excited to see the legendary Marcia Griffiths perform live as she is such a legend in reggae music from singing with Bob marley to branching out on her own making hit songs after hit songs ,I must say I was very happy to have had the opportunity to see her live on stage .also lady g another female legend of Dancehall music and kenyatta hill son of the late Joseph hill aka culture .

Greetings everyone I hope you are a enjoying the summer of 2022 and being safe . I know of one person that is definitely enjoying her summer and that person is the queen of dancehall spice. Yes spice is officially on tour for summer 2022 . She started her tour in Canada on June 24th 2022 with a performance in Toronto Canada for pride canada ,where she closed out the show . She then went on to Brussels Belgium, Switzerland and will be performing in Paris France today July 1st 2022 .her tour continues in Germany, amsterdam,israel,New Jersey, jamaica ,Trinidad and will close out in Maryland.  See spice tour dates below to see when she will be in your city .
